Physical Description		GENERAL: Eric stands, walks, and sits with good posture though he will occasionally stand relaxed leaning to the left or right with his arms crossed when not in the presence of a superior officer. His blue eyes have an intensity about them that appears that he is staring a hole through whatever he is looking at. He is well tanned and has a very toned, muscular build that comes from spending as much time outdoors leading an active lifestyle on his off time as possible. He wears an emotionless expression when busy or concentrating on something, making people think that he is not a very pleasant person, but will smile if the situation warrants it. ON DUTY: Aside from the standard, yellow departamental Starfleet uniform, which he makes sure meets regulation with everything in it's proper place and spaced and aligned correctly, his shoes are well kept as well as polished to a mirrored shine that would make a Marine jealous. OFF DUTY: He can be seen in comfortable clothing, usually consisiting some sort of tank top or sleeveless shirt and slacks. He never wears shorts nor will he wear anything open-toed like sandals. His hair will usually be spiked towards the front in a faux hawk fashion and he will neglect shaving his facial hear allowing it to stubble. He tends to wear dark sunglasses as well when off-duty, and especially when on the holodeck spending time 'outdoors'.

Personality & Traits
General Overview
Eric's personality is that of any young man his age. He likes to have fun (he leads a very active lifestyle), drink and is flirtatious with most any sort of beautiful woman that he comes into contact with which has gotten him into trouble many times in his past. He is very goal-oriented and stubborn once his mind has been made up, making him an excellent cop and member of security but also makes it hard for him to have truly close friends. Another reason for this is his short temper that he keeps in control most of the time, but when under much stress, it becomes more difficult and he will ocassionally lash out unintentionally. He has a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor and will display it at times when others would be stressed or afraid, and sometimes to even just be funny. He doesn't show his deepest feelings outwardly and isn't quick to trust anyone, making him someone that people see as a lone wolf; however once he gets to know someone and they have earned his trust, he is as loyal as they come though may still keep many things hidden.

Ambitions
To find his sister's killer is his overshadowing goal in life and is the reason he originally became a cop. He also hopes to spend more time with his son and become and integral part of his life before he gets too old. Despite going through a messy divorce, he would still like to settle down sometime in his future. Until then, he takes it one day at a time, going with the flow and not laying out a definitive plan for his life hoping that his life will turn out better than it has been so far.

Eric Keith Jericho was born on November 18, 2361 in New York City, New York to Chadwick "Chad" and Susan Jericho. There he lived most of his life leading a normal childhood attending elementary school and the first two years of high school there before moving in 2377, at the age of fifteen, to Los Angeles, California where he completed school. The reason for the family's move was due to Eric's sister, Amy's, rape and murder. The emotional stress was too much for the family to handle living in the same neighborhood and the parents believed that moving would allow the entire family to move on and not dwell on Amy's death. In that sense, the further away the better so they chose to move to the opposite side of the continent.

Chad and Susan hoped that none of their kids would think too much into what had happened to their sister and leave things as they were and move on. This was not the case, however, and in 2380 at 18 years old, Eric returned to New York and joined the New York City Police Department in hopes of hunting down his sister's killer that still remained at large. It was there that he married his childhood sweetheart, Tammy, and moved into a small apartment in northern New York City. On March 14, 2382, Eric was gifted with the most joy he has ever experienced in his life when the couple had a son and named him Paul.

After serving three years on the police force, working extremely hard and making it to the rank of Detective-Sergeant with numerous commendations from both the NYPD and the mayor himself as well as working in the homicide division, Eric turned up new evidence concerning his sister's death. Over the next few weeks conducting his own investigation of what happened, he became obsessive in hunting down her killer which caused his wife to file for divorce in June of 2383 and over the next two months of arguing and battling back and forth, the divorce became final. Tammy received full-custody of the infant Paul, claiming that Eric was mentally incapable of being a good father due to his obsession with his sister's death, and moved to Florida. Eric was torn between losing his family and not being able to find his sister's killer and, as a result, was terminated from the NYPD, though rumor has it that he resigned. Only Eric and his captain know the truth.

After leaving the NYPD in early October of 2383, Eric moved to San Francisco and bought a small apartment while supporting himself by working as a private investigator, yet still researched information for his sister's brutal killer. He enrolled in Starfleet Academy and began classes on October 15th of that same year in hopes of the fleet not only getting him away from his shipwreck of a life, but also could lead him to more clues about Amy's killer. In May of 2387, Eric received his B.S. in Criminology from the Academy and had centered his studies on Security and Tactical. His skills in the field already proved to be exceptional and he graduated in the top 10 of his class, ranking number 4 and was a mere .2 in his GPA of ranking third.

Upon completion of the Academy, it wasn't long at all before he was contacted by the Office of Personell Management and was assigned to his first posting, the USS Samurai as the Assistant Chief Security/Tactical Officer. He boarded the ship on July 19, 2383 having traveled there via runabout from a starbase in a nearby sector. He wasted no time in getting himelf situated in his quarters and reporting in to the Executive Officer, Lieutenant Commander Min.
